New Year…New Beginning

6 01 2009

The pen hits the paper – dscn0546
I can write my existence, my dreams into reality, my goals into action. It is a new year, a time that people usually designate as a new beginning. It is a fresh start. What do you want to do that you haven’t done? Who do you want to be that you haven’t allowed the world to see? What is your REAL dream, and what’s a VIABLE plan for achievement? These are the things that I ask myself, and now I’m asking you…

When we set goals and make resolutions, we never really know what the outcome will be. We have control over one thing: the action that we take. Take the action, let the cards fall where they may, write your existence, & create your reality.

So, what are those resolutions? (If you care to share…) ;-)

Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore Holiday Expo

18 11 2008

joi-nov08-web Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore (www.webinc.org) held a Holiday Expo and Open House on last Thursday. They provided a venue for CORE and SEA program graduates to display and sell their wares, and discuss their services. I had a great time being in the presence of & meeting so many successful, entrepreneurial women! As you can see, I shared some information about the Virtual Assistance (read about it here), Assist U (www.assistu.com), and my personal practice (visit passionnopaper.com).

As usual, I volunteered for something and ended up taking some photos of the event. :-) I met some ladies who had some really cool stuff, and are doing some awesome things. I can’t do them justice here, but I can AT LEAST share their info. (Not in order of importance, I might add.) ;-)

From Left to Right, Barbara Jeffries (WEB Board of Trustees), Joanne Saltzburg (WEB CEO), Roberta Creeron (Development Manager), Patricia Harriday (Director of Program Services), Levette Dixon (Lil’ Bitz Crafts and Creations), Troi Barnett (Business Development Manager) with her daughter, and Betty Bland-Thomas (Community Affairs Manager) with my infamous Mom. I got to see her tremendous financial contributions in the form of lots of goodies that went home with her! The WEB grads thank you, Mom. :-)

Do something….

Before we begin the internet marketing series…

Author and Coach, C.J. Haydn suggests that you “Choose a set of simple, effective things to do and do them consistently.”

I don’t know if anyone considers internet marketing simple, but it can be effective.  What is the real trick?  There isn’t one.  No magic.  You just have to do choose something to do and do it!

I had this familiar revelation last week.  While putting together a list of techniques I want to discuss in this series, I decided to actually try one.  After all, I don’t feel comfortable sharing information about something that I haven’t done.  I did it; it worked; I met a prospect.  That simple.  I did something, and I got something in return.

I wanted this to be the first post of the series as a reminder that  I could tell you every marketing technique ever developed.  It’s NO good if you don’t DO something! DO is the operative verb.  It’s not enough to acquire knowledge – using it is the key to success.

Carpe diem!  Make the most of your day, not with reckless abandon, but with success, your end result, in mind.

Warmly,
Joi

What IS all of this internet marketing business?!

26 09 2008

Hello, Friends!

In my travels, I have met many people who are not familiar with internet technologies, and how those technologies can be effective internet marketing tools.  SO!  I have decided to do quite a few segments on tools such as blogs, ezines, webinars, and a few other items.

Hopefully, you’ll get enough information in these segments to position you for taking advantage of the billions of people out there who are all potential clients!  I actually hope to learn some things, myself!  :-)

If you haven’t already done so already, please subscribe to the right.  I will start the internet marketing segments in about a week to give people a chance to subscribe.  I’m sure that you won’t want to miss it!

Talk to you soon! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Warmly,

Joi

Saving Entrepreneurs One Goal At a Time!

11 09 2008

Welcome to The Passion No Paper Pipeline. I am a Virtual Assistant (VA) whose desire is to help Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, and Busy People to “Focus On Your Passion, Not Your Paperwork!” This blog will serve to share thoughts and helpful tips on anything that could further your business or your lifestyle, so you can begin to focus on your PASSION!

PASSION. (1) any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, … (6) a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything. (dictionary.com) Your job is to find what gives you a “powerful or compelling emotion”; to find what produces that “strong or extravagant…enthusiasm, or desire”. My goal is to help get the “How Tos” and “Don’t Want Tos” out of the way, so you can focus on that Thing.

I hope that you enjoy yourself while you’re here. Don’t forget to subscribe! And, PLEASE, leave a comment when the feeling hits you. :-)

Looking forward to a long, passion-filled relationship!

Warmly,
Joi
